Job Title Fleet Controller

– Cape Town

Overview Revamping e-commerce logistics in South Africa with cutting‑edge technology and operational excellence. Deliver 30+ million orders annually, empowering businesses and driving economic growth.

Responsibilities

Ensure all fleet vehicles are regularly inspected, maintained, and compliant with national road safety standards and regulations.

Enforce a comprehensive vehicle inspection program, covering pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections.

Oversee the day‑to‑day management of the fleet, including vehicle allocation, tracking, and maintenance schedules.

Track and manage vehicle maintenance, repairs, and service records to ensure minimal downtime and optimal vehicle performance.

Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.

Provide training, monitoring, and performance evaluation to enhance driver safety and efficiency.

Work until daily responsibilities are completed, which may result in working beyond normal hours.

Capture delivery teams’ hours and ensure accruals are sent to management.

Contribute to cost‑saving initiatives by optimizing fleet operations, including fuel management, route planning, and vehicle utilization.

Manage daily staff and overtime efficiently to control labour costs.

Extract data and generate reports to assist in performance tracking and decision‑making.

Label and file all administrative documentation as per procedures.

Maintain up‑to‑date daily, weekly, and monthly reports and meeting minutes.

Send KPI reports daily and post them on notice boards in a timely manner.

Implement and maintain 5S housekeeping standards.

Implement and maintain health and safety standards.

Ensure the team complies with COVID‑19 protocols.

Qualifications

Minimum of Grade 12.

Tertiary qualification preferred.
