GAAP Transport Fixed Asset Accountant (Degree + Articles, Pinetown Basic + Benefits

         Grade 12

         BComm degree, majoring in Financial Accounting minimum, a prerequisite.

• Completed Articles.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting department
• 2 years' in a management position
• Knowledge of the bus passenger industry
• Knowledge of GAAP, GRAP, IFRS, Accounting and Auditing principles and practices
• Knowledge of Human Resources, and Industrial Relations practices and procedures/related legislation

Duties;

• Supervision of Finance
• Preparation of month end and year end journals.
• Check Trial balance/General ledger
• Preparation of monthly General Ledger reconciliations
• Control Accounts Payable function (Capturing invoices, preparing reconciliations and payments).
• Check monthly cashbook.
• Oversee the credit control function
• Completion of monthly VAT
• Regular internal audits
• Conduct audits of Stock-takes.
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Financial reports
• Annual budgets.
• Annual external audit.
