Job Title: Experienced Credit Controller

My client based in Westmead Durban is seeking to employ an Experienced Credit Controller. Duties&Responsibilities

Administration Professional behaviour towards customers and colleagues. Ensure that all queries relating to requests for proof of delivery, goods returned, rebates or claims will be resolved within a reasonable timeframe. Liaise with sales staff regarding the status of accounts and discuss overdue amounts which are not resolved, finding a solution to prevent ageing of accounts.Send out letters on overdue accounts. Monthly debtor’s reconciliations. Daily telephonic collections and recording of such action on the system. Daily action of outstanding queries. Processing daily receipting and ageing debtor’s accounts correctly. Daily assistance to sales desk. Daily invoicing.Meet monthly collection targets and reduce the number of days outstanding. Minimize credit risks. Submit new applications online with ITC for credit assessments. Attend debtors meetings and report on ageing. Attend to monthly statements and close-off procedures. General Undertakes such additional duties which may from time to time be assigned to the Employee in the discharge of his/her duties.Must ensure that a safe environment is maintained at all times by highlighting any problems to management. Follow the health and safety and the company’s disciplinary process and its policies. To ensure that a correct and proper image of the Company is maintained at all times. Desired Experience&Qualification

Education and Experience Matric or equivalent qualification or studying towards a commerce/sales/or administrative degree or diploma. An equivalent of 2 years working experience in a debtor’s position. Advanced computer literacy skills in Microsoft applications – Word and Excel. Excellent planning and organisational skills.Competencies required of the position include: Excellent numerical accuracy. Good interpersonal, written, verbal and communication skills. Sound interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and show initiative. Knowledge and experience of financial practices would be advantageous.Special requirements Regular and on-time attendance. Will be required to work overtime when required. Package&Remuneration

R15 000pm to R18 000pm
