Pinetown Durban Temporary Position
We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Payroll Administrator to join their HR team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing high‑volume payroll processing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process end‑to‑end payroll for 450+ employees
Capture and verify payroll data including overtime, deductions, allowances, and leave
Maintain accurate employee payroll records
Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
Ensure compliance with South African payroll legislation including PAYE, UIF, and SDL
Prepare payroll reports for management and internal stakeholders
Liaise with HR regarding employee movements and payroll adjustments
Assist with payroll audits and supporting documentation
Minimum Requirements
Relevant qualification in Payroll, Finance, or HR
3–5 years’ payroll administration experience
Proven experience processing payroll for 450+ employees
Proficiency in Sage 300 (non‑negotiable)
Strong understanding of South African payroll legislation
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Non‑Negotiable Requirements
Fluent in isiZulu (spoken and written)
Strong experience within high‑volume payroll environments
Ability to work with confidential information professionally and accurately
Preferred Experience
Exposure to manufacturing or engineering environments will be advantageous
Immediate availability is highly preferred due to the temporary nature of the role
Key Competencies

Strong numerical and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational abilities
