We are seeking an experienced and driven HR Manager to lead and oversee all human resources functions within our organisation. This role plays a key part in driving organisational performance through people, culture, and leadership capability. You will manage a small HR team while ensuring the effective delivery of both strategic and operational HR initiatives that support business performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Focus
HR Systems: Implement and manage HR platforms, ensure data integrity aligned to business‑critical success factors, and develop and update HR policies in line with business strategy
People Journey:
Recruitment&Selection: Drive talent acquisition, partner with leadership on hiring needs, and support succession planning
Development: Identify training needs, facilitate leadership development, and ensure compliance with training plans
Performance Management: Design and drive performance frameworks, including scorecards and 360 assessments, to build a high‑performance culture
Organisational Effectiveness: Conduct job analysis, implement EVP strategies, and enhance employee engagement
Retention: Identify retention risks and implement strategies to retain top talent
Culture, Values&Business Alignment: Embed business‑critical success factors, Ramsay Business Practices, and company values into daily behaviours, HR processes, and team leadership, while driving structured monthly and quarterly employee communication sessions
Diversity&Inclusion: Ensure compliance with Employment Equity and contribute to BBBEE initiatives
Operational Execution
HR Systems: Maintain HR platforms, payroll systems, employee e‑filing, and ensure ongoing data accuracy
Recruitment&Selection: Oversee assessments, onboarding, and recruitment tracking dashboards
Development: Manage Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and training compliance, including online learning platforms
Performance: Support and execute ongoing performance reviews and feedback processes
Remuneration&Benefits: Manage payroll, ensure accurate and timely payments, and oversee month‑end processes
People Management: Lead and support the HR team, manage disciplinary and poor performance processes, and provide IR guidance
Financial Management: Manage HR budgets, control costs, and oversee departmental invoicing
Drive the ongoing implementation of the People Journey and shop‑floor leadership programmes
Requirements
5–10 years’ experience in a Human Resources role, with leadership exposure
Relevant HR‑related degree or equivalent qualification
Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices
Proven experience managing HR systems, payroll, and employee relations
Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment will be advantageous
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset
