Junior Accountant – Mining – JHB, Johannesburg

Overview

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join a prominent mining company based in Johannesburg. This role is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to gain valuable experience in the mining sector while working in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports specific to the mining sector Support the accounts payable and receivable processes Conduct bank reconciliations and assist with payroll administration Perform general ledger entries and ensure accuracy in financial data Help with the budgeting and forecasting processes Collaborate with the finance team on month-end and year-end close procedures Participate in various ad-hoc accounting projects as required

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Preferable completed articles at a reputable auditing firm 6 – 8 years of accounting experience, preferably in the mining or related sector Proficiency in MS Excel and financial accounting software Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and professionalism
