Senior Credit Controller, Johannesburg

A well-established organisation based in Johannesburg is seeking a highly professional and experienced Senior Credit Controller to join their team.
This role requires a mature, confident individual with strong interpersonal skills who is comfortable dealing directly with customers and handling sensitive account matters in a professional and diplomatic manner. The client is not in a rush to fill the role and is focused on finding the right long-term fit — ideally someone stable, experienced, and currently employed but open to a strategic career move. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and maintained
• Handle member queries and resolve account-related issues efficiently and professionally
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and ensure timeous collections
• Perform the full administrative function relating to member accounts, including journals, reconciliations, and account maintenance
• Supervise credit control staff and oversee related processes
• Ensure high levels of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times

Minimum Requirements:

• Credit Control qualification or related financial qualification
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Credit Control, including exposure to a Senior Credit Controller role
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional, mature, and assertive personality
• Ability to manage difficult conversations with tact and confidence
