# Export Planning Manager* May 14, 2026* 11:07 pmThe Export Planning Manager oversees **end-to-end supply and demand planning** for both national and international supply chains. The role ensures accurate forecasting, supply alignment, supplier performance management, and export coordination across 15 international markets. It requires strong analytical, operational, and stakeholder management skills to maintain service continuity and optimize supply chain performance..Local and International Demand and Supply Planning

• Lead demand planning across South Africa and 15 international

markets, consolidating forecasts into annual rolling demand plan

• Analyse operational forecasting inputs (including 4PL data covering

±450 SKUs) and adjust rolling forecasts to improve accuracy

• Develop and distribute a monthly consensus forecast and rolling

production forecasts aligned to supply capability

• Incorporate demand drivers including promotions, new product

development, store openings, discontinued items and market

expansions

• Obtain monthly confirmation of demand plans from markets and

customers

• Monitor forecast accuracy, analyse variances, and implement

corrective actions to prevent excess or lean inventory positions

• Support new market launches by embedding forecasting frameworks

and route-to-market planning processes

• Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams to align forecasts

with promotional and growth initiativesSupply Planning and Inventory Alignment

• Develop and maintain rolling supply forecasts in collaboration with

suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Confirm supply plans with suppliers and align demand and supply plans

to ensure service continuity

• Oversee inventory levels across local and international markets,

proactively identifying stock risks and initiating corrective action

• Manage product phase-ins and phase-outs to minimise obsolescence

and stock aging

• Ensure forecasting incorporates shelf-life considerations and working

capital optimisation

• Analyse volume fluctuations and deviations from plan to support

financial and operational alignment

• Provide timely feedback to Logistics and Supply teams regarding risks,

constraints and optimisation opportunities

• Coordinate inbound supplier deliveries and outbound customer

shipments to ensure orders are delivered in full and on time

• Ensure all export documentation is accurate, compliant and available

within required timelines

• Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive communication to

customers and internal stakeholders

• Act as conduit between supplier, distributor and market to resolve

operational delays

• Ensure customers and markets adhere to forecasting and

documentation timelines

• Maintain service delivery performance in line with contractual SLAs and

regulatory requirementsForecasting Governance, Systems and Continuous Improvement

• Review and update forecasting processes, playbooks and SLAs as

business and regulatory requirements evolve

• Ensure compliance with export conditions and regulatory requirements

across markets

• Maintain accurate forecasting system configuration (including

Dynamics 365 and related tools)

• Review and optimise the end-to-end forecasting value chain, identifying

automation opportunities

• Generate and distribute weekly and monthly KPI reports covering

forecast accuracy, OTIF and service performance

• Investigate anomalies in demand volumes and ordering patterns

• Act as a support function to the Logistics team (Local and

International), providing operational insight and planning alignment• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process

improvements across the supply chain

• Support implementation of supply chain enhancements and process

changes
