Opportunity Accelerate your career with South Africa's leading FinTech. This high‑impact role involves managing complex, end‑to‑end, cloud‑native payment projects for major banks and retailers. As a customer advocate, you will affect millions of people daily. Based in Johannesburg, the role requires on‑site presence at client offices with frequent travel to Cape Town.

The Role If you are delivery‑focused, customer‑centric, and committed to long‑term, trusted relationships, Electrum's Project Manager role is ideal. You will manage the end‑to‑end delivery of projects—from sales handover through development to support handover—by working closely with customers (large banks and retailers), the sales team, and the engineering team, while building strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Co‑ordinate full‑lifecycle software and customer implementation projects

Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and of good quality

Build strong relationships with customers and third‑party providers as well as internally with sales, engineering, product and tech ops teams

Manage dependencies and guide the team to ensure the delivery plan is met

Facilitate and run project meetings such as status updates and retrospectives

Maintain and improve project process

Be a customer advocate within Electrum

Grow your industry knowledge

Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of Electrum

Qualifications– Non‑negotiables

Relevant degree

5+ years experience as a project manager on software projects, at least some of which are in a formal or corporate environment

Experience working with external clients, preferably in a B2B environment

Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation

Background in tech/information technology industry

A track record of successful delivery working across multiple teams on multiple products in a fast‑paced, market‑driven environment

Excellent communication and relationship management skills

Additional desirable skills

Prince2, PMP or Agile training will be advantageous

Financial Services, Payment or FinTech industry experience
