Mechanical Engineer, Johannesburg

Responsibilities

Involvement in the operational aspects of the department

Mechanical design and layout work

Producing drawings for manufacturing

Coordinating routine and planned maintenance

Liaising with various service providers

Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and facilitating repairs

Willingness to“get hands dirty” assisting with engineering requirements

Qualifying Experience

A relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum of 3 years post qualification relevant working experience

Experience in a manufacturing/production environment

Proficiency in CAD

Have a valid driver’s license and a reliable motor vehicle

Qualifying Attributes

Ability to work in challenging conditions

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to communicate on all levels

Be deadline driven

Ability to work independently and in a team
