Manager, Specialized Processing and Queries Job Overview Business Segment: Group Functions Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, 30 Baker Street To manage and control the Real Estate portfolio, including variable accounting workflows, processes, and payments in line with accounting policies and best practices. Oversee query resolution for fixed and variable costs, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Develop and implement continuous improvement of systems and processes, ensuring compliance with operational risk requirements. Responsible for people management and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. Coordinate special projects and manage the implementation of other initiatives.Qualifications A Degree in Finance and Accounting or a Degree in Office Administration Experience: People Management Skills, Conflict management / Disciplinary Management. Decision making and negotiating skills, Ability to lead and influence people. Ability to drive a culture of high performing teams. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Extensive knowledge/experience in: Accounting principles and concepts \ Market best practice \ Complex problem solving. Knowledge/understanding of payment systems used within the Bank (SAP REFX) Additional Information

Key Responsibilities: Mentor and coach Team members to build competency for succession. Be responsible for the recruitment, development and retention of relevant skills in order to meet the business needs. Create an environment in which learning and development are emphasised and valued and ensure the implementation of individual personal development plans.Delegates authority and responsibility effectively, in line with business objectives, to ensure the empowerment, motivation and effectiveness of all direct and indirect reports. Develop and maintain an open communication channel with direct and indirect reports and supports staff to foster greater co-operation and teamwork. Monitor and manage the performance and development of staff within the area, including regular one-on-one feedback sessions, conducting mid-year and final performance appraisals.Be responsible for attending to career discussions.Ensure staff are appropriately and consistently rewarded and recognised for theirachievements and outputs. Encourage the recognition and reward of performance excellence by utilising the Beyond Excellence recognition system.Ensure that disciplinary action, grievances and poor performance are addressed and aligned to the Standard Bank policies and procedures.
