Sales and Marketing Manager (Luxury Hospitality), Pietermaritzburg, South Africa

A growing luxury hospitality group is seeking a commercially driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead revenue growth across a portfolio of premium Southern African properties.

This is a hands-on, sales-focused role suited to a confident professional with an established network in the luxury travel and corporate markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive new business across corporate and leisure markets
• Build and manage relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and corporate clients
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
• Prepare and present proposals to senior stakeholders (including C-suite)
• Manage and grow existing accounts
• Collaborate with external agencies on marketing campaigns and brand alignment
• Represent the brand at trade shows, networking events, and client engagements
• Monitor market trends and report on sales performance

KEY FOCUS:

Strong emphasis on corporate business development, including:

• Executive retreats and offsites
• Incentive travel programmes
• Corporate hospitality and group experiences

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in luxury travel / hospitality sales
• Established network within the luxury travel trade and/or corporate sector
• Experience engaging with senior decision-makers
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and proactive
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel

ADVANTAGEOUS:

• International market exposure (UK, Europe, USA, Australasia)
• Experience with safari, wine, or boutique hospitality environments
• Trade show and industry event experience
