Our client, a reputable accounting firm based in Moreleta Park, Pretoria, is currently seeking a motivated and career-driven Payroll Administrator to join their professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end processing of monthly payrolls across multiple clients
- Calculate and process salaries, wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions accurately
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA, BCEA)
- Prepare and submit statutory returns (EMP201, EMP501) using EasyFile and eFiling
- Maintain payroll records and employee data accurately and confidentially
- Assist with payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Prepare payroll reconciliations and reports as required
- Liaise with SARS and other statutory bodies when necessary
- Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation and regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate (Grade 12)
- Payroll-related diploma or relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on payroll experience (preferably within an accounting or professional services environment)
- Proficient in Sage Payroll, SimplePay, PaySpace, or similar cloud-based payroll systems
- Solid understanding of South African payroll legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA, BCEA)
- Experience with EMP201, EMP501, EasyFile, and eFiling
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple payrolls and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity
