Mechanical/Piping Engineer, Sandton

BSc or BTech Mechanical Degree

Up to 5 years experience in mechanical and piping design on process plant type projects

• Flange, Valve, Fitting & Bend selection
• Preparation of Flange, Valve, Fittings and Bends specification & data sheets
• Be able to multi-task between several projects
• Piping design, supporting, ancillary structures
• Identifies technical problems and appropriately engages the business tech
• Comply with Company valves and QA System
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HSE and Quality within the project and everyday office environment
• Identify temporary materials required for the pipe pre-commissioning activities
• Check and monitor the quality of own work and the work of the draughtsman and designers
• ANSYS Fluent (or equivalent CFD software) for immediate placement
• Providing assistance to the construction contractor for resolution of issues
• Review and approval of stress isometrics and calculation packages
