ACCOUNTANT

Our client in Honeydew seeks to appoint a suitably qualified ACCOUNTANT to conduct month end finalization and closure as well as financial and management reporting to both internal and external stakeholders under the guidance of the Financial Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implementation of accounting policies; procedures and processes
• General Ledger Reconciliation
• Supervision of the Creditors, Debtors and Cashbook Functions
• Maintaining statutory registers
• Conducting stock takes
• Preparing Financial Statements
• Month-end and Year-end Closure
• Reporting 
• General cost accounting and other related duties

• Possess outstanding mathematical skills
• Must possess solid analytical skills 
• Must have presentation and communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and stress
• Possess the ability to meet strict deadlines
• Must have detail-orientation and time-management skills
• Must possess data entry skills
• Ability to gather and compile data

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 Essential
• A Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
• At least three (3) years' experience as an Accountant within an FMCG environment
• Accounting software package experience (SAGE will be an advantage)

The package on offer is negotiable based on qualifications and experience
