ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Laboratory Scientist Biobank is primarily responsible for Cord Blood and Cord Tissue

receiving, processing, testing and storage.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Qualifications & Experience:

• BSc (Hons) or BTech in cell & molecular biology, biomedical technology, and biotechnology or
• related.
• Previous laboratory experience required
• Flow cytometry experience advantageous
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment or similar advantageous

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and quality processes
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online systems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process and store cord blood, cord tissue, and adipose samples in accordance with SOPs and quality standards
• Perform laboratory testing including flow cytometry, sterility, viability, and ABO testing
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and cleanroom facilities
• Support quality control processes, audits, validations, and laboratory compliance activities
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation, and stock control
• Work collaboratively within the laboratory team to ensure efficient operations and high quality standards
