Description

A well-established company in the construction sector is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong construction industry exposure, advanced financial management skills, and proven experience working on BuildSmart.

Responsibilities:

Full accounting function up to management accounts
Financial reporting and reconciliations
Managing project and cost accounting processes
Budget monitoring and variance analysis
Assisting with audits and compliance requirements
Supporting operational and project teams financially

Requirements:

Relevant Accounting qualification (BCom Accounting / Diploma or equivalent)
Minimum 5+ years’ accounting experience within the construction or related industry
Solid working knowledge of BuildSmart accounting software
Experience with:
- Project costing
- Job reconciliations
- Cash flow management
- Creditors and debtors
- Monthly management accounts
- VAT and statutory submissions
Strong Excel skills
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
