We are looking for a skilled Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will optimise production processes, solve day-to-day engineering challenges, and work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve plant performance. What We Need From You Must Have
BSc / BEng / BTech in Chemical, Process, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
3–7 years of relevant process engineering experience in a plant or production environment
Registered with ECSA (or actively working towards registration)– preferred
Solid understanding of process optimisation, mass/energy balances, and P&IDs
Experience with process simulation tools (e.g. Aspen, HYSYS) is an advantage
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus
Strong problem‑solving ability and analytical mindset
Good communication skills– able to work across teams and write clear reports
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks at once
Comfortable working in an active plant / operational environment
Understanding of South African HSE legislation and ISO standards is an advantage
What You Will Do
Monitor and optimise plant processes to improve efficiency, yield, and quality
Identify and investigate process problems and implement practical solutions
Support new projects, process changes, and equipment commissioning
Conduct process audits, root cause analyses, and write technical reports
Work with the maintenance and operations teams on shutdowns and improvements
Ensure processes comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on process performance
Assist with training of operators and junior team members
