Job Purpose To independently deliver medium sized insight generating projects (from scoping to delivery) to inform and influence the development and alignment of Brand strategy, Category development, Retail&Channel execution, Innovation and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
To enable fact-based decision making for the internal customers in your project scope, by providing fit for purpose data insights derived from data deep dive projects by:
Understanding the customer requirements and collecting the relevant information
Analyse, synthesising and integrate multiple data sources into one coherent view
Producing insight reports, structured presentations and storytelling. shaping insight-led narratives that answer "what", "why", and "what next"
Participate in project debriefs to assess whether insights supported the attainment of business objectives
Identify continuous improvement practises for similar projects.
Identify growth drivers, whitespace opportunities and emerging needs that can be converted into actions and innovation.
To support strategy execution in the Brand teams by tracking, reporting and providing dashboards aligned to scorecard KPI’s
To support strategy execution in the Sales team by providing reporting and research as needed to improve in-store and channel performance by:
Conducting shopper journey and mission analysis
Developing retail and channel recommendations
Delivering category reviews and retailer-facing insights
Providing inputs into SKU rationalisation and range optimisation
Analysing pricing and promotion performance and translating findings into clear business implications
To support continuous improvement, product development and innovation in the Brand team by:
Participating in medium sized CIP projects,
Delivering and reporting on ad-hoc taste testing projects
Reporting and commissioned data research
To support the creation of a high performing Insights team by:
Participating and collaborating in the cross functional Invocoms
Living the Premier values and demonstrate behaviour
Identifying areas for improvement in existing projects and processes and proposing solutions to these
Building good working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
To build data insight capability and support talent development in the Insights team by mentoring and coaching graduates on the technology and tools required to perform in this role.
Qualification Requirements
FMCG Insights Analyst of Market researcher 3–5 years Essential
Retail/agency working experience 1-2 years Desirable
Project coordination experience 1-2 years Desirable
Experience Requirements
B. Comm/ BSC degree Essential
Post graduate degree Desirable
