NOC T4 Engineer (Senior), Midrand

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage network performance using tools such as PRTG to identify outages, capacity constraints, and recurring issues

Lead advanced network troubleshooting, including routing, MPLS/VLAN configurations, and fibre/RF fault resolution

Act as the final escalation point for complex network issues across internal teams and clients

Proactively manage node capacity and network optimization, including client migrations and sector planning

Support and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Field Ops and RF

Maintain and enforce network security measures, including firewall configurations and compliance with SOPs

Contribute to infrastructure projects, network upgrades, and documentation of system changes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

Relevant networking qualification (e.g., CCNP or equivalent)

Experience:

3–4 years’ experience within a NOC or similar network operations role

Proven experience in a Tier 3 or senior support environment

Strong exposure to ISP networks, routing protocols, and wireless technologies

Skills:

Strong knowledge of IP networking, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and advanced routing concepts

Experience with wireless technologies (e.g., Ubiquiti, Cambium)

Understanding of network topology, node performance, and capacity planning
