Minimum requirements for the role:

• Grade 12/N3 with an Electrical/Mechanical Trade Test.
• Minimum 3 years' technical experience in the required trade.
• Mechanical and Electrical aptitude.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting daily inspections in area of responsibility as per the daily log sheet.
• Logging and reporting deviations on the daily report.
• Repairing deviations as reported or requested.
• Executing preventative tasks as per schedules.
• Completing and returning job cards.
• Completing stores requisition for withdrawal of spares as required.
• Ensuring that electrical and mechanical repairs are completed in accordance with requests from management, adhering to the plant requirements.
• Maintaining and improving the visual appearance of all machinery and buildings.
• Performing alterations or modifications as required.
• Resolving electrical and or mechanical problems as required.
• Prioritising and managing job cards to ensure effective completion of assigned projects.
• Ensuring that all tools to be used are in safe and good working order.
• Reporting all deviations on equipment and unsafe acts.
• Complying to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and all Company's Health and Safety rules and policies.
• Clearing the area from all maintenance items after the task has been completed.
• Ensuring that the works area is clean and neat at all times.
• Removing all redundant items from the workplace.
