Junior Garment Technologist– Old Khaki, Cape Town

Key Responsibilities

Assist with product development in line with brand requirements and specifications

Support the preparation and submission of accurate tech packs to suppliers

Assist in managing the sample sealing process from development through to production

Participate in fit sessions and support seasonal fit reviews

Support pattern grading in line with brand and customer specifications

Provide technical support to the Design team

Assist in maintaining pattern block libraries and grading rules

Help ensure garment quality standards are met

Support QA reporting and quality investigations

Liaise with suppliers and factories on sample approvals and quality queries

Assist with communication between Distribution Centre QC teams and suppliers

Participate in supplier visits and quality audits where required

Requirements Qualifications&Experience

Grade 12

Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design / Clothing / Textiles / Garment Construction

1–3 years’ experience in a similar or related role (internship or graduate experience considered)

Exposure to a retail or manufacturing environment (advantageous)

Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel advantageous)

Understanding of garment and pattern construction principles
