Junior Project Manager (Software Development), Johannesburg

Our client, a leading software and solutions developing company, specifically catering to the hospitality, retail and tourism sector, seeks to employ a Junior Project Manager to join this progressive and expanding professional team.

Please note that this role is fully remote and the ideal candidate will reside in either Johannesburg or Cape Town, and be able to self-manage, collaborate online with the team and be effective at managing deadlines timeously, with the flexibility to travel nationally when required.

Candidates need to have a solid background in the Hospitality, Tourism, Retail or relevant sector, understanding ICT networking, Point of Sale systems and software development lifecycles

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

• You will have completed a qualification in Business Management, Information Technology or Software Engineering, coupled with 3-5 years experience in coordinating and guiding a team on the onboarding and rollout projects of new clients.
• You will have experience in managing various product/software deployments for new clients and assist existing clients with ad hoc requests.
• You will have experience in implementing new practices to improve client's experiences and collaborate closely with the Support Desk Manager to transition new clients to the Support division.
• You will be proactive in problem solving, provide weekly and monthly reports to management on progress, non-conformances and solutions for new clients.
• You will be team focused and provide training and skill development for the department and ensure that the department has the skills and expertise to deliver the best possible client service
• Experience using ZOHO CRM and Advanced Microsoft 365.
• You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
